For over two decades I’ve been working, teaching, and leading creative for agencies like BBDO, Crispin, J. Walter Thompson, GSD&M, and clients like Chipotle, Capitol One, At&t, Walgreens. My work has been featured in publications like Lürzer’s Archive, AdAge and Communication Arts, and recognized at shows such as Cannes, Clios, and Andys.
I am currently live in Austin, TX and working as a Group Creative Director for the Vitro Agency.
I’m a big believer in creative momentum. Positive energy, enthusiasm, and passion for work is contagious. It multiplies, spreads and leads to creative work.

And it’s super fun when you’ve got the right people jamming together.
Years ago while filming a commercial for Capital One in Prague, my creative partner and I began exploring the castle where the shoot was taking place. Our journey took us into the dungeon where we  discovered all manner of awful and dangerous torture devices. Freaky stuff.
Being creatives, our instincts compelled us to get one of those medieval devices into the commercial. We grabbed something we thought would be funny, quickly took it to the director, and got it into one of the scenes.
As the camera rolled we talked the client into it. They laughed. We laughed. And that’s how an extra wound up wearing a donkey shaped  torture mask in the background of a Capital One commercial.
It also opened the door for everyone to jump in and work together on other crazy stuff to make the shoot better. The director and crew got excited to come up with ideas, and built an actual working catapult in one night. The clients joined in, and collaborated on a couple of jokes. The energy was great. And when the shoot was done we were all proud of the results.
There are a lot of hats a creative leader has to wear on a day-to-day basis. Perhaps the most important one is to inspire everyone to play.
